Many of my dance sculptures have been inspired by watching the performing artists at the Boston Ballet. In particular, this work, “Boston Dancer,” illustrates the beautiful movement and excitement a ballet dancer can communicate to an audience. I loved this work so much, I created it in crystal and bronze. Dancers speak to their audiences through their movements. As a sculpture artist, I endeavor to capture the fleeting movement forever!
If you are hoping to be inspired by ballet this season, the Boston Ballet is performing two programs on stage now through June 9th. You can enjoy Cinderella and Rhapsody.
In Rhapsody, “Principal Dancer Paulo Arrais pays tribute to the female influences in his life with his thought-provoking premiere, which he hopes will celebrate powerful women.”
In Cinderella, experience a “beloved fairy tale, with stunning sets and lavish costumes…sure to set your heart soaring.”
Many Boston dancers will showcase their art!
