What inspires an artist to create? Since I am acutely aware that the figure I commit to capturing in a bronze piece of sculpture art will be my project through many steps from the ideation stage through completion, I take this process seriously!
Sometimes, I’m motivated by the simplest things. In the case of the work pictured, which I named “Sisters,” I was inspired by watching two women walking together in rhythm, step-by-step. Whether they are actual sisters is not important! It was their togetherness and obvious camaraderie that appealed to me and inspired me to create this piece. As a result, I sculpted this creation as if they were one body to illustrate their obvious bond. The dimensions are 14″H x 8″W x 12″D.
You never know — whenever you are out and about, you have the potential to inspire an artist! Enjoy a 3D view of this piece below!
